Eric Louis - Éco-circuit. Balade en golfettes à travers le Sancerrois.

Apart from simply turning up at the tasting room,  open all year round, from Monday to Saturday,  Eric Louis's fleet of electric golfettes gives you a unique and fun way to see, to learn about and taste  Sancerre wines from the house of Eric Louis at Thauvenay.  I did this nearly two years ago on a Saturday morning together with 11 other hardy visitors. The rain poured down!

Eric Louis produces a number of different labels of organic wine, from Eric Louis to Les Celliers de Pauline.  Pauline was Eric's grandmother and during the mobile tours you are given headsets in one of a number of languages to suit,  where you hear the story of the vines through Pauline's eyes.

Three different tours are available, each lasting around 2 hours and costing from 19 €.

Trois tours différents vous sont proposés, chacun durant environ 2 heures.  A partir de 19 €.

Les vindredis

Fridays - la maison des Sancerre, Sancerre

Les vindredis - a play on the word vendredi for Friday - is back for its 2026 season.

Every Friday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm,  throughout July and August, you can taste wines and talk to the producers at the Maison de Sancerre (mentioned above) in Sancerre itself.

Once held in different places each week,  this format allows  you to try a number of different producers' wines all in one place in the company of visitors.   Entry price: 6€

Perfectly timed for you to catch the 2.10pm train from Paris to the nearest railway station at Tracy Sancerre, getting in at 4.04pm.
